Second Week*

                                           Raining days

The weather in Montpellier the second week of October 2018 was pretty bad, so we weren't able to go to work in the bidonvilles. The rain was present all the week so its why we couldn't go there, also the bad conditions there didn't let us to work with them.

Our supervisor (Samia, we love her) was explaining us why is not recomendable to visit the bidonvilles during these days, probably most of them would be sick and the mood wouldn't be the best. Today, Monday (15/10/2018), it's also raining but we hope that is going to stop and maybe we can visit and help them, because our project is not so long :)

Also Thursday in the night we met Samia and Chloé to take dinner in Samia's house. Jose asked his mom to make a "Tortilla de patatas" and he did a really great job. He cooked for four of us and Samia made a salad, we had a really good time talking about a lot of stuff and enjoying the food. Samia, Chloé and Clara were talking a lot in French and Jose didn't understand so much but we were so happy to share time with this beautiful persons.

Anyway, at the end, the last week was also interesting. The days we weren't able to work with the childrens we were working in our blog in the office. Wednesday morning we were in a school in the neighborhood La Paillade and we presented to a group of childrens the "Pocket film" project. Also we were playing some games with them, trying to get objectives that our responsible of the project wanted to get. After that session at the school we arrived to the association and we had a little reunion with him  about what we did and what were the objectives of the morning. Also he explained us how is the way he works with the children and the protocol he follows. It was very interesting because it seemed like they were only games but there's a lot of work behind them; for example he explained that there were 12 objectives for each game.

We are spending almost all the time together and it's wonderful because we're very close. But sometimes the EVS is not a paradise, and Jose felt so sick on Wednesday, he was sad and angry with the world so we had an argument. But Jose was honest and at the end we are good now (not at all because Clara left me alone and sick all the weekend). Poor guy!

On Thursday afternoon we were with Olivier and Maxime to Fontignan to speak about the differences between Italy, France and Spain about the orientation system in high school. We worked with another association there thats helps women to integrate in the French culture when they are from other countries. For example we met a Chinese one who wasn't able to speak a really good French and probably not to read neither.

Olivier was  kind and he took us to see the beach for 3 minutes, here you go :)

Then Clara went to Nice and the poor Jose spent the weekend alone and sick :(
