               EVS IN MONTPELLIER

We are Clara and Jose Carlos.

We are doing our first Volunteer

project in Montpellier for 

I.PEICC ( https://ipeicc.com/ ). 


I'm Clara and I'm 26 years old. I'm Italian and I have a degree in Anthropology. I used to work with children in the post-schools services and during the summer camps, I love them. This EVS opportunity is perfect for me because I can work with people from different cultures and with children as well. I also love french and I'd really love to improve it. 

I am Jose Carlos and I'm 23 years old. I'm from the South of Spain and I applicated for this project because I'd like to have new experiences with new people. I have just obtained the Psychology degree and I did a stage in a high school in my city, Granada. So I love working with children whose requires help. I used to do a lot of sport since I was 6-7 years old so I love doing dynamics and playing as a child.

First days

The first day we met was the day 2/10/2018 in the residence where we are going to stay this month. Chloé and Samia showed us a little bit of the city center wich is very cool. The residence is exactly in the middle of the historical center of Montpellier and that's amazing! 
At the end of our little tour around the city Samia and Chloé took us to the first Romanian Bidonville we're going to work with (to be honest we don't remember the name, we're going to ask it). It was a strong experience for us because it was our first time with this sort of reality. For both of us it was peculiar because we never treat people with very limited resources like them. So we are very impatient to work with them and help as far as we can.

Every wednesday of this project we are going to meet Tatiana and some kids between 6-11 years old from other neighborhood, most of their parents are from North Africa. In the first day we met the kids, they were excited about meeting us because of course they love Pizza, pasta and Latino's songs.

Now we're going to a party, soooo let's keep in touch!

  SVE À MONTPELLIER Nous sommes Clara et Jose Carlos. Nous sommes en train de commencer notre projet du volontariat à Montpellier pour l’I.PEICC ( http://ipeicc.com/ ). Je m’appelle Clara et j’ai 26 ans. Je suis italienne et j’ai étudié l’anthropologie à l’Université. J’ai travaillé avec les enfants comme animatrice dans les écoles à l’aide au devoir et pendant l’été, je les adore! Ce projet SVE est vraiment parfait pour moi parce-que je vais travailler avec des personnes d’autres cultures et principalement avec les enfants. J’adore également le français et mon premier objectif est de l’enrichir. Je m’appelle Jose Carlos et j’ai 23 ans. Je suis originaire du Sud de l’Espagne et je m’implique dans ce projet parce-que je veux faire de nouvelles expériences et connaître de nouvelles personnes. Second Week*

                                           Raining days  The weather in Montpellier the second week of October 2018 was pretty bad, so we weren't able to go to work in the bidonvilles. The rain was present all the week so its why we couldn't go there, also the bad conditions there didn't let us to work with them.  Our supervisor (Samia, we love her) was explaining us why is not recomendable to visit the bidonvilles during these days, probably most of them would be sick and the mood wouldn't be the best. Today, Monday (15/10/2018), it's also raining but we hope that is going to stop and maybe we can visit and help them, because our project is not so long :) Also Thursday in the night we met Samia and Chloé to take dinner in Samia's house. Deuxième semaine*

Jours de pluie La météo n’a pas été très bonne pendant la deuxième semaine d’Octobre 2018, pour être franche ça a été un désastre! C’est la raison pour laquelle nous n’avons pas pu aller dans les bidonvilles pour travailler avec les enfants. Il a plu pendant toute la semaine et les conditions de vie sont vraiment difficiles quand il ne fait pas beau. Notre tuteur (Samia, nous l’aimons) nous a expliqué qu’il n’est pas vraiment souhaitable d’aller là-bas pendant ces journées, c’est probablement aussi parce-que quelqu’un pourrait être malade et aussi l’humeur général peut ne pas être des meilleures pour faire des activités (en plus des conditions matérielles peu favorable, comme par exemple la boue et la pluie dans leur habitations même). Aujourd’hui, lundi (15/10/2018), il pleut toujours mais on espère que ça s’arrêtera bientôt et qu’il serait possible aller là-bas encore et faire quelque activité, notre projet n’est pas vraiment long  L Jeudi soir nous sommes allés che...
